Kick back with a cold one.
This country was built on hard work. And after a long day on the job, is there anything better than an ice cold brew to wash away the stress of the day? If you’re in Southern Missouri, West Plains to be exact, there’s only one place you’ll want to head for that after-work reward: Wages Brewing Company and Taproom.
Less than a year old, Wages Brewing opened their doors in August 2016 with the mission of providing great beers in an inviting atmosphere. Is it too soon to say “mission accomplished?”
It starts with three year-round brews, Whatknot Ale, Good Mornin’ Oatmeal Stout and Landlocked IPA. From there they round out their offerings with a rotating cast of brews in a variety of styles. From a Lavender Saison to the Front Porch Porter, the Mississipecan Brown to IPAs in a variety of flavors, each beer is an adventurous creation that rewards with every sip.
And it’s not just the beer that makes Wages Brewing such a great place to visit. The atmosphere in the taproom is carefully cultivated for maximum enjoyment. This isn’t a dank smoke-filled bar, nor is it a raucous sports pub. It’s a place for beer lovers to get together with friends, old or new. A place to socialize and relax over a few cold ones and enjoy the company.
There’s no food served, but visitors are invited to bring their own from one of West Plains’ many great eateries. Or kick back in the biergarten and challenge a friend to a game of beanbag toss.
Wages Brewery is the kind of taproom you’ve always looked for. Great beer, a fun environment and a good time. Stop in the next time you’re in the area. It’s worth the trip.
